2020-2021 Executive Elections

Now that we’re halfway through the Spring term, the end of this school year is rapidly approaching, and that means UBCAni Executive Elections at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is happening next friday, March 13th. Come on out to meet the faces of UBCAni next year and what they intend to do for the club, vote, and enjoy some free pizza for your troubles!  (Pizza will be free for members, and $2 for non members.)

Thank you to all the candidate nominees! Here they are in all their uncontested glory. However, since we still have three available positions, we’re opening the floor to anybody who wants to run as a free for all, as long as they prepare a 5-minute speech, presentation, or video to introduce themselves and why they would make a good candidate. UBCAni’s Valentine’s Social: The Maiden Could Be You

Ever wished real life was like an otome game? Look no further as you begin your journey as a transfer student at University of Bishounen Cabedons. With your reunited childhood best friend to show you the ropes, you’ll meet new friends and potential partners. There is much to look forward to this school year!

There will be games, snacks and drinks, cosplay contest, prize draw, piñata, and a dance to end the night. We will have a raffle draw for some cool prizes so be sure to RSVP by clicking ‘Going’ on the event page by February 3rd at 11:59 PM for an extra ticket! Cosplay is encouraged but 100% not mandatory. As always, we will be hosting a cosplay contest so please feel free to participate!

Black Lotus Preorders; Halloween Social+E-Sports Association Collab Pumpkin Carving Recaps

The UBC Anime Club artists group has officially officially (for real this time) completed the anthology now featuring 72 pages of work and we are now taking preorders through this form! All people placing preorders must fill out this form at least in name. However, to get the 10% discount off the end price, please pay the discounted price in cash/card in person to us in advance by meeting us at any of our weekly events on Fridays, or messaging our Facebook page to schedule a time at another time.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Halloween Social on Sunday, and extra thanks to the volunteers as well as impromptu volunteers who helped with cleanup! We hope you enjoyed the night. Truly did we have a villain’s night out, with suffering abound in our games which turned out to be successes! Choice moments, as well as the end result of our E-Sports Association pumpkin carving collab weekly, will be under the break.

UBCAni Halloween Social 2019: A Villain’s Night Out

2018 Clubs Days!

Hey everyone, it’s this time of the year again! We’ll be selling memberships at the AMS Nest from now until Friday. Our booth will be set up from 11:00 to 15:00, so if you’d like to ask questions, or purchase a membership, please swing by!

Memberships entitle you to benefits outlined here. Basically, you will get:
